Lot Description  

1952-53 Victoria card #139 Donald Zimmer. Before his Major League career began in 1954 with the Brooklyn Dodgers, Zimmer platooned at shortstop with Gene Mauch under manager Billy Herman on the Cienfuegos team in the Cuban Professional League. The back of the card (in Spanish, of course) mentions Zimmer as the successor to Pee Wee Reese. VG condition.
