1948-49 Toleteros card of Juan Guilbe. A HOFer in his home country, Guilbe played for the New York Cubans and Indianapolis Clowns in the Negro Leagues. Leon Day called him one of the greatest pitchers he'd ever seen.
He could hit as well, leading the Puerto Rican league in home runs for the 1943-44 season after leading in pitching 2 years earlier. Helped lead Ponce to 4 consecutive championships from 1941 to 1944. This is his rarest card.
