1943 La Ambrosia partial set of 104 cards. The set features teams from the Cuban Amateur League, which was as competetive and popular as the professional league during that era. The cards are in typical extremely condition sensitive for the issue, with creasing, staining, and back damage that are common of album-based sets. The set was supposed to be 240 cards with 12 cards for each of the 20 different teams; however two of the teams have 13 different cards in the album. Each album had a space for each card with the player's name beneath a sqare where the card was meant to be pasted. The key card in the set is MLB player Conrado Marrero rookie card and Sandy Consuegra, both included here in low grade.

The La Ambrosia issue is a Cuban amateur baseball card set which consists of a large checklist featuring teams from Cuba’s expansive amateur and industrial leagues. Cards are small (about 1½" x 2½") and printed on thin paper stock, designed to be glued into a dedicated album that included player spaces, organized by team, and brief biographical text. Many surviving examples show album residue or back damage due to removal from the album.
