1949-50 Toleteros of Negro Leaguer, Bob Thurman.
Thurman was an American pitcher, outfielder and pinch-hitter who played in the Negro Leagues, and as seen here, in the Puerto Rican winter league, where he was a star. For a few years at the end of his career, Thurman also played in MLB with the Cincinnati Reds. He is a member of the Puerto Rican Baseball Hall of Fame.
This card is a solid example with excellent centering, a crisp image, and a bright intact back.
The second Toleteros set in ‘49-50 expanded to 216 cards and retained the game-card concept. Measuring about 1¼" x 2¼", the cards feature black-and-white portrait photography with player names below the image. They were distributed in Puerto Rico and included numerous Negro League and Major League stars.
