Eugene Collins was a young pitcher/outfielder with the Kansas City Monarchs when Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier. He was a fine all around player with a strong arm and good speed, and he stayed with the Monarchs until 1951 when he entered organized baseball.

This card is very nice for the issue, and looks EX-MT at first glance. However, there is a slight surface wrinkle on the front and a stretch on the back where the top layer of paper has been lost. Strong presentation.
