1950-51 Toleteros of Dick Seay. Graded a 2 by SGC. Seay was an American Negro leaguer who enjoyed a long career from 1925 to 1947 for the Brooklyn Royal Giants, Newark Stars, Baltimore Black Sox, Philadelphia Stars, Newark Eagles, Pittsburgh Crawfords, and New York Black Yankees. Seay was part of the "Million Dollar Infield" with the Eagles, consisting of Seay, Ray Dandridge, Mule Suttles, and Willie Wells.
The standard 1950-51 Toleteros issue marked a major visual upgrade, switching to color photography and larger cards measuring roughly 1¾" x 2½". Unlike the earlier sets, these cards are blank-backed rather than game cards. The issue is especially prized for its striking photography and legendary player roster, including rare cards of Negro League stars such as Josh Gibson.
