Lot Description  

Another tough card of a HOF Negro Leaguer. This is one of the classic baseball cards of the era as instead of Lloyd’s name, it reads “Joe Baseball.” There are two spots of emulsion loss on the surface. This card is otherwise stunning with ultra-sharp corners and a clean back free from the staining so common to the issue.

Lloyd was teammates with Oscar Charleston (see lot #1) on this great Almendares team of 1924-25.
