Pelayo Chacon was an outstanding shortstop in the Negro Leagues and Cuba for more than 20 years. He was named to the fifth team in the Pittsburgh Courier poll and is a member of the Cuban baseball Hall of Fame. Chacon was outstanding defensively, was a good hitter with great bat control, had a strong arm and good speed. He was also a terrific manager and had a son who played in the Major Leagues.

The card itself is very nice, but the image is somewhat obscured by a bit of staining or fading.
